Build a Solo Business You Love and Actually Stay Consistent

Ok, so according to this hot (cheeto) take, connection is gonna make your business easier.

And the first person you have to connect to is yourself. (Deep, huh? 😂)

What do YOU want your business to look like? (not the goals Jenna’s diggin’ for you)

How many hours a week do YOU want to work? (not Tim’s 4 hour work week)

What kind of content do YOU want to make? (not the kind Jessi’s yappin’ about)

YOU started a business to be your own boss and you accidentally let a bunch of people who don’t even know you start bossing you around. 😩

It’s time to do things your way. 💥

A GIF of Deanna and her Dad on her wedding day and the words I thought this was a party... let's dance!

That's me and my dad on my wedding day. 👆

I had a whole elaborate Footloose inspired idea to really get the dance floor poppin' after the father daughter dance.

I freaking LOVED my wedding cause I did it 1000% my way.

🍕 We had Domino's pizza for the rehearsal dinner. (Take it out of the box and put it on a cute platter and nobody even knows! 😆)

🌭 We had a hotdog food truck outside the reception for dinner.

👯‍♀️ We didn't have enough chairs for everyone (so they had to dance) sneaky sneaky. 😜

It was all about doing what we wanted and HAVING FUN with the people that we love.

And you can do that in your own business too!

It's what we do here in The Playhouse all the time. 🦖

When you connect to what works for you, your brain, your life, your schedule, you can start being consistent and it doesn't feel hard or annoying. 💥

If you're like me, when you hear the word consistent you immediately want to rebel. 😳

Because it’s usually brought up around things we DON'T WANNA DO AT ALL. 🙄 So doing them consistently is impossible.

If you focus on doing what you love and hanging with people who don't boss you around, being "consistent" is as easy as keeping up with your favorite shows, sending a dumb reel to your best friend, or eating tacos on a Tuesday! 🌮😋

The Playhouse is made for you to be consistent and not even feel like it's happening.

  • a chill coffee chat that leads to a client
  • updating your landing page at coworking and laughing during the breaks
  • being interviewed by me on the podcast so you can use that to book more podcasts and avoid showing up on Instagram more

You're having fun and then all of a sudden...

  • you have a new client
  • you're invited to speak in their community
  • someone asks YOU for an email swap

You're feeling real growth and you're like, "Wait? What? We were all just hanging out. How did that happen?"

Because I run The Playhouse with strategy behind it.

I have over a decade in art education so I know how to run a room, and make it fun.

There's nothing harder than motivating a moody teenager who "doesn't need this class" or "can't draw."

So I'm as strategic as these essays are unhinged. So... uh... VERY. 😅

🌭 And, if you could... do me a favor and let me know what kind of toppings you like on your hot dogs!

I’m a chili cheese dog girl myself (evidence above) 👆

I'm on the edge of my seat....
