Playhouse Community Guidelines

The Playhouse exists to help solopreneurs feel less solo. We connect, collaborate, and build cool things together. We’re here for real conversations, real relationships, and events that make business feel a little less lonely and a lot more fun.

Here's a few simple guidelines help keep the space welcoming and enjoyable for everyone:

💖 Be Respectful

Treat everyone with kindness, respect, and professionalism. Hateful, discriminatory, or intentionally harmful behavior won’t be tolerated. Give people room to participate, share ideas, and show up as themselves.

🙌 Participate in a Way That Works for You

You do not need to attend everything or do everything to be “good” at The Playhouse. I mean, we got businesses to run, amirite?

You're the boss of your business, so do what works for you and leave the rest.

👯‍♀️ Collaboration Over Competition

This is a collaborative community, not a performative networking group. Many friendships, partnerships, podcast swaps, referrals, and collaborations have started here because people showed up as humans first. Support each other. Cheer people on. Look for ways to connect dots.

🤑 The Goal is Connection, Not Pitching

We love hearing about what members are building, offering, hosting, and creating, but nobody likes getting sold to when they didn't know they were in a sales conversation. In The Playhouse we talk about life and business, so naturally, business things will come up.

"Will you subscribe and leave a review for my podcast?" Is much different than "I just updated my podcast cover!" When they look at your podcast, they can subscribe if they want to... ya know? 😬

Inside the Coworking + Hang Space we have a specific thread where you can promote yo' self when you have something new and exciting happening!

Seriously! Business can already feel heavy enough. The Playhouse is a space where you can experiment, connect, laugh, brainstorm, and maybe leave feeling a little more energized than when you arrived. Just trust the process, you're growing your network and learning things even though it doesn't feel like "serious business stuff." It's working.

🤔 What Happens if We Hit a Snag?

If someone’s behavior consistently goes against the spirit of the community, we’ll reach out privately to talk through it. Most things can be solved with communication and clarity. And sometimes a community just isn’t the right fit for someone anymore, which is okay too. Our goal is always to handle situations with kindness, respect, and transparency for everyone involved.
