# Hot Cheetos and Real Business

We all know that online business is super easy. JkJK. 😅

We all get TOLD constantly that it's easy by every ad, every influencer, and every piña-colada-on-the-beach- reel that promises us passive income if we just comment “EASY” 🙄

Because easy sells.

So we try all the things people tell us will save us time and energy. Because hello... perimenopause, we could use all the help we can get!

And then somehow we end up more scattered than when we started. 😵‍💫

You end up with a thousand tabs open in your brain, a handful of half-baked ideas, and gut wrenching guilt and self doubt for not being able to crack the code on making this easy.

You end up on the couch downing a bag of Hot Cheetos, watching Real Housewives, and wondering if you’re even cut out for online business. 😭

**But here’s two things I wanna say:**

1. There’s nothing wrong with Hot Cheetos or watching Real Housewives (well, there might be, but that’s another email 😜)
2. You are TOTALLY cut out for online business, BUT… it’s not as easy as they made it sound.

### **And also… It’s not hard because you're doing it wrong.**

It's hard because building a business is hard, and it doesn’t happen overnight. 🤷‍♀️

And people are constantly selling you quick fixes you don’t need that distract you from your goals.

It ends up feeling like you’re at a fish market and everyone’s telling you their fish is the best fish, but you're there to buy flowers. 🐟🌸

You end up with a million disconnected moving pieces, content, offers, coffee chats, and nobody’s worried about what you really need.

### **So here's my hot (cheeto) take: Online Business is Hard.**

**But I think there’s a way to make it easier.**

- Friends to cowork, brainstorm, and laugh with
- Asking for help (without the fear of being sold to)
- Sharing what you know because helping others lifts YOU up
