# The bane of my existence this holiday season...

I'm aware that it's only October 21st as I write this, but...

## This stupid Needoh Advent Calendar is ruining my life. 

And if you don't know what I'm talking about, consider yourself lucky.

Both my kids want one, and you can't order them online, and they sell out in like 5 seconds everywhere. 🙄

It's what you'd call a *Jingle All The Way* situation.

Which I've never seen, but maybe I would enjoy this year. 🤪

You can't check any store apps for them to see if they're in stock, so you just go stand out front of BS stores like Kohl's, Target, Five Below, or Staples like a chump hoping that when they open you can get one. 

Well, you can only do that if you don't have something else to do that morning. 

Me? I'm getting my kids ready for school and walking them to the bus stop.

So I will not be at Walmart at 5am with a lil' folding camping chair. 

### Then, to make matters worse, my algorithm is basically ONLY showing me videos of people getting their Needoh's.

And it really does a number of your brain. You feel like everyone else in the world got them for their kids and you're the only loser who hasn't.

Like they're somehow a better mom than you because they have the resources to do it. Maybe a partner at home watching the kids? Maybe a neighbor? Who knows?

Maybe they have the money to pay a re-seller a lot more money and just avoid the headache and order it online. 

I've seen grandparents getting them for their grandkids. That only works if you have grandparents will to do that. Ya know? 

I think some of the parents are forming local Facebook groups for Needoh hunting (which I refuse to do) but they're using their community... which I do love to see. 

It can feel like this with your business too. 

### You don't know what people have going on behind the scenes of their business to support their growth. 

So if you've ever felt behind in business, you're no worse of a business owner than I am a mom. Ya know? 

We're all doing the best we can, and for me and my Nee-doh hunting that means wandering into Walgreens on a random afternoon making friends with the lady behind the counter. 

Chattin' about the 80s Cabbage Patch Craze and the Beanie Babies hype and laughing about how insane it is. 

Basically... Networking. 🤣

She told me to call and check whenever I want and promised me that she won't think it's annoying. 

So that's my plan. Walgreens with my new friend. 

Networking works in life and business. 🤷‍♀️

Or maybe I'll be touched by a Nee-doh angel and see one randomly one day while I'm running errands. Only time will tell.

I'll keep ya posted. 😬🎄

But I'm a good mom regardless, and you're doing a good job too. I promise. ❤️
